Mountains of Montenegro are perfect for winter sports, like snowshoeing and ski touring. This tour gives you a possibility to do snowshoeing at Daznik and Captain’s lake, less crowded places for winter activities, where you can enjoy privacy. Of course, Durmitor and Bjelasica, two most popular winter spots are unavoidable. Besides central and north part of Montenegro, you will have a stunning view of the Boka bay, from the Pestingrad, mountain peak above Kotor.

Day 1: Arrival
  • Arrival at Hotel Atrium and accommodation. Meeting with a guide and introduction to programs and schedules.

Day 2: Snowshoeing tour Daznik
  • Breakfast at Hotel Atrium
  • Transportation to Vucje, about 30 minutes driving
  • Mountain peak Daznik, which is on 1625 meters above sea level over the summer is amazing place for hiking, while in winter, snow covers it’s surface and creates an excellent path for all winter sports enthusiasts. Near Daznik is ski center Vucje, which is very visited.
  • Lunch at Ski Centre Vucje

Day 3: Hiking Pestingrad
  • Breakfast at Hotel Atrium
  • Transportation to Lovcen National park
  • Hiking to the Pestingrad. This mountain peak is at 1009 m above sea level and it dominates the Kotor town. The hiking club in Kotor was named after this mountain peak. The top of Pestingrad is narrow, but safe. It is like a small stone head separated from the steep western slopes of the Djerin Peak which vertically descends over Kotor.

Day 4: Snowshoeing tour Durmitor

  • Discover the most beautiful Montenegrin mountain covered with snow. As Montenegro is famous for mountains, you definitely shouldn’t miss snowshoeing on beautiful winter days. This tour starts from the Black lake – the highest glacial lake of Durmitor massif. It is marked trail through the forest right up to the ski center Savin kuk. You will see forest of spruce and fir covered with snow, all around on your way to the ski center.

Day 5: Snowshoeing at Captain's lake

  • Transportation to the Captain's lake, 35 minutes from the hotel
  • Pure, green water and the reflection of the limestone rocks in it, captivate its visitors and is becoming a favorite camping site of mountaineers and fishermen over the spring and summer days. In the winter it is a magnifiscent place for winter sports. While snowshoeing, you will have amazing view on a lake and surrounding mountains.

Day 6: Snowshoeing tour Bjelasica

  • Transportation to Kolasin
  • Bjelasica is definitelly one of the most beautiful mountain ranges of Montenegro. It is located at the central continental region of the country. Snowshoeing at Bjelasica mountain will reward you with magnificent view on the nearby mountains Sinjajevina and Komovi. It is one of the most atractive places during the winter and for local people, but also for tourists.
